John Crowley, Colorist

John Crowley has been part of the PostWorks New York team since 2004 and in recent years has focused much of his attention on episodic television where his credits include Nurse Jackie, The Vow, The Americans, and The Get Down. In 2015, Crowley received an HPA Award for his work on the final season of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. He also has worked on a plethora of independent films, among them Adventureland, Awake and Everything is Illuminated, as well as numerous documentaries, including Jennifer Venditti’s award-winning film Billy the Kid.

Crowley began his career as an assistant editor with National Video Industries and later moved into color correction. With an on-going passion for agency work, Crowley has color corrected ads for such brands as Häagen-Dazs, Neutrogena, Cover Girl, Mercedes Benz. Crowley counts among the highlights of his career the opportunities he had to work with directors Jim Jarmusch, Johnny Depp, Greg Mottola, Robert Altman and Griffin Dunne, as well as with The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, on the documentary Born to Run.
